Model Street Design Manual - released in October 2011, this manual shows how cities can balance street design that accommodates cars while ensuring that pedestrians, cyclists and transit users can travel safely and comfortably. Design instructions to make streets lively, beautiful, economically vibrant as well as environmentally sustainable are also included.

Walk Score is a great internet tool that can be used to map out services within walking distance from a location input by you! It also calculates a walkability score, allowing you to see how your neighborhood ranks among others. Just enter an address and watch the results pop up!
