Chula Vista has a Neighborhood Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Program to address the safety and quality of life of the pedestrians, bicyclists, and motoring public within Chula Vista. One of the four main program components is a neighborhood traffic calming program.
To get started, residents should call the City Traffic Engineering Section at 619-691-5026 or send an email to traffic safety@ci.chula-vista.ca.us and detail your concern. City staff members will work with you to find a solution to the problem.
The City also has a Safety Commission made up of residents who meet once a month to address safety and traffic issues. You can also make an appearance at one of these meetings to introduce your concern. Contact the traffic engineer to find out when the next meeting is scheduled.
