La Mesa

La Mesa has a Neighborhood Traffic Management Program in place to gather input from residents about traffic concerns.
To get started, residents are asked to talk to neighbors and submit a petition describing the concern and its location. The petition must typically be signed by a minimum of ten residents of different households in the affected area.
Petitions go to a staff person in the Engineering Division of Public Works Department who reviews the information, visits the site, and recommends a potential solution. This proposal will be submitted to the City’s Traffic Advisory Committee, made up of City staff and residents, for review and determination of next steps.
La Mesa encourages substantial neighborhood participation in the process.
